Beautiful photography Alex and stunning system.

I seem to remember seeing some of your aquascape photos out on the web when I was starting my own system and trying to design the aquascape

Very nice indeed.

Hello Shaun,
I saw your reef recently.
A friend was researching about the blue throat trigger and send me some photos of yours.
How do they behave in the reef?
Best regards
Alex

Hi Alex
They are model citizens really and don’t cause any issues with corals or other fish. They keep trying to spawn every so many months and there is a video on post 119 of my build thread with them spawning and dancing etc

They are very imposing and could do some serious damage if they wanted to, but so far they are fine.

I forgot to mention that this video was made 1 year and a half after the setup of the tank.
No amaaaaaaaaazing grow rate, but it's ok.
As I said in the very begining, I must have a REEF in 2 or 3 years from the start.
At this rate, it should be true.

Very nice! Looks like you will eventually have to prune some as things grow in. :)

Thanks.
I'm already doing it.......the milepora pink blue tips and the turaki are very fast growers and I've already pruned them a lot of times.
Today I'm going to do the same with the Formosa Blue Sky, to keep it low and don't affect the layout of the small island in the front....

Here's my new dosing schedule.
I'll switch from Brightwell to Aquaforest in the next couple of months.
More concentrate products in smaller bottles means cheaper shipping cost wich, for who lives out of Europe/EUA, is a good thing.
Besides that, the results of AF are already proven, so I'll give it a shot.

SEG – TLF Ferrion 20ml / TLF Strontium 10ml / AF Vitality 10 drops

TER – Brightwell Koralle 30 ml / Brightwell Borochrom 15 ml

QUA – AF Fluorine 10 drops / AF Micro E 10 drops/ AF Amino 20 drops

QUI – AF Energy 20 drops/ TLF Ferrion 30 ml

SEXBrightwell Borochrom 15 ml / TLF Strontium 10 ml

SABBrightwell Koralcolor 10 ml / Brightwell Lugol 5 drops / Nyos Coral Nectar 20 drops

DOMBrightwell Koralle 30 ml
