I would personally never put a damaged coral in a low flow low like environment.

What's your reasoning for this, especially LPS with torn flesh?

I think I will leave it in its place with low flow and keep adding magnesium as it is really low I did 30% water change but no effect if it was not too low before the water change. Im using instant ocean Im trying to get reef crystals to get more trace elemnts into the tank

I don’t think I said high flow I think I said med flow higher light post 3. More observation then reason, but do what you like, I didn’t start posting in this thread to argue. Your mag is low.

For sure I will add more mag. But adding too much at a time is no good from my understanding. Anyone has used the mag I have posted chihoros?

I just did a test for the test kits I have and the results are as follows:
March 11 mag 1050, phosphate 0,nitrate 5, ph 8.2, dkh 9, kh 161.1, calcium 340

I’d get that double checked.
With a normal salt mix 16 is not possible. As is the cal. Unless your dosing unevenly.

I think my mistake was nt doing water changes often. 16 is my double check im thinking of changing my salt. I use instant ocean at the moment but here in the shop there is this salt mix by chihiros, aquaforest and tetra i got instant ocean from turkey but its a bit hard at the moment

You need all four, Alk cal mag and light to drive calcification. Either corals are growing and building stone, or receding and dying. No middle ground, it seems.

Most guides on this coral will say low to medium for both flow and lighting. Mine are on the sides of my rock, indirect light and flow, and they do great. I will say, this coral can adjust to bright lights, but you have to take it slow, if your PAR is high, put them on the sand, and very gradually try to move them up. It takes a while to acclimate to bright lights. I once had a huge colony on top of my rock, it was volleyball size. I would move yours to the sides of the tank instead of the middle where it’s probably getting direct light, and on the sand.

Poop??? Didnt know that :) well yes I use activated carbon for the past two days now. I have NoPoX I dose daily. I feed the corals yesterday but candy cane didnt take any hopefully it will adapt to the tank environment.

Only reason I ask is it looks like maybe carbon dust got in the tank. I've done that and the corals did not react very well. Mine took a few weeks to adapt.

So it has been almost a month now since it has been in the tank I see a couple heads has been puffing but not fully as I see in photos. I suspect a couple heads will die off but hopefully the rest will recover the whole colony.

Have to go ninja on those little suckers. Aptasia X make sure no flow when using. More like a surgical strike then a carpet bombing run :)Get it right in their mouth if you miss they will spew out their spawn. Usually after a session of hunting you will end up with a few that have released. that’s why it’s important to have a few peppermint shrimp to clean up.

Did you get your Mg up to a good level? I use Red Sea Mg to dose my tank. I had low Mg a while back of about 800. Since I got it up to around 1300 my LPS tank has taken off and everything looks good.
