Sorry up front if this has been asked 100 times over, but I didn't find what I was looking for in a forum search.
Quite simply, I'm looking for recommendations of a point and shoot camera that will take nice pictures and has a sophisticated enough white balance feature to compensate for the odd coloring that happens when photographing under LED.

Hi Lenny,
The best pics I have seen on a P&S have been on cannon's so far. and Iphone. I dont have specific models as theres just too many.. But for the standard 14 to 20k range they seem to be the most flexible. for the blue only IMO its a crap shoot as the NM range of the "blue" varies from led to led. cameras dont do well in strait 420 to 460. it need r &g too. it why those dont look quite right usually. Ive rearly found a manufacturer that lets you know if you can selectively choose the white balance like you can in most dslr.

I searched google Point and shoot reef2reef and found a few good threads. Olympus pentax and fuji also stood out as the best no fuss picture taking on a point and shoot.

Thank you @saltyfilmfolks, I was using the search in the forum, should have thought to use google.
There are plenty of Cannons in my target price of < $200... is there any particular feature I should pay close attention to?

close focus and manual adjustment of WB. it really may not be an issue though.

I really want a canon. @spspirate has one that takes insane pics without much if any post-processing (if we're lucky, maybe he'll post an example...LOL).

What cell phone do you have? The S7 has a pro mode that allows you to set the white balance manually. These were taken with no post processing. Lights are Kessil A360WEs at 65% color and the white balance selected on the phone was 10k. Certainly nothing like a nice camera but not to bad.

I think it compensated pretty good under radion lights.

I use a Panasonic Lumix and love it...have used it in my tank, at the pool, and while scuba diving in the Bahamas.
