Trying to id something in my tank. Clumps of polyp-ball like red fuzzy growth with green/clear attaching foot? Balls about the size of those silver candy decorations for cakes. Must be bad but I don't know. Nothing new in tank for years.

Welcome. Pictures would be of great help, in identifying your problems. Also, it’s good to share parameter numbers from NO3 to temps to Ph, brief history of the system, date of installation, equipment, maintenance practices, tank mates, feeding practices, lighting & schedule, etc. in order to help pinpoint the cause of the problem.

Welcome!! Photos are a must for ID'ing things. Photos of your tank are a must for oohing and ahhing.
