Red carpet anemone

I have 3 carpet anemones, and LTA, and 2 RBTA. I don't really keep any coral, since i love the anemones so much :)

have you noticed any chemical warfare between the anemones .

I was reading up and they didn’t recommend placing multiple anemones in one tank - like don’t do a carpet and a BTA , or like don’t do fancy BTA and regularRBTA

It looks like it should be fine. Keep an eye on it. he looks significantly bigger in the video and should be able to hold his own.

That’s an awesome looking carpet anemone. Makes me miss the 14” blue carpet I had back in the day.

I highly recommend you remove that Saddle back clownfish, A. polymnus, from your Haddoni. My experiences with A. polymnus was horrible. They naturally use Haddoni as their host but extremely aggressive and detrimental to the anemone. They often dig into the mouth and go INTO the anemone entirely. While inside the anemone they would rip and eat some of the inner tissue of the anemone.
I love natural symbiotic relationship between anemone and clownfish so I set up a tank for my Haddoni and A. polymnus. My Polymnus pair killed two Haddoni, and was in the process of killing my Blue Haddoni before I wise up and remove them. Now you only find Polymus in my tank over my dead body. Do a search on Polymus if you don't believe me. Happens a lot. Their favorite sleeping place is inside the anemone.

Yep. I have 5 with 3 haddoni and they do go all the way in. Crazy. So far all is fine. If I see issues with the nems, I will re-home the clowns. Thanks for the info.

How long have you have your Polymnus with the Haddoni? I ditch my S. haddoni with A. polymnus tank after 1 year.

So far only a few months. I just began the haddoni journey and had the last group of saddlebacks for almost 9 months before a disease took out my fish.

I am up to 10 months with my polymnus with Haddonis. The large female recently died but I do see the digging into mouth behaviour all the time. Also they steal food from the mouth so I have to watch and make sure the mouth is fully closed before I leave. They are also big bullies in the tank and regret having them.

The red carpet is looking very sweet.
