Just saw one and I am in love! I have a 75 gallon with a lawnmower blenny, 4 firefish dart gobies, 2 clowns, an Hawkfish, 6 Cardinals, 3 anemones, 2 cleaner shrimp, and some snails. I also have a 13 gallon nano with 2 clowns, a YWG and pistol shrimp. Can I add a mandarin to either tank? How do I prep before I add him? Thanks!

One of the reasons I got into the hobby was my mandarin. They like established tanks with plenty of pods in them. Make sure you replenish your pods every couple of weeks or setup a refugium to culture the pods. Mandarins eat 2000-3000 pods daily. I currently have a spotted one. Easily one of the most fascinating fish available.

Easiest fish to keep provided they have a large POD avalibility and are the only Exclusive pod eater.

Mine does not attention to anyone, including gobies.
Nobody appears to have any interest in her either.
Nems, RFA,s, Grammas, Damsels,Tangs, the only thing you cant do is have to males, ie, the ones with the long dorsal spike. Not sure about the wrasse family as I do not keep these fish.
