Hey, Guys!
I have a couple questions.
I purchased the Red Sea foundation test kit after it was recommended to me by a few others on here, after receiving it I did all of the tests (cal, mag, and kh) and all of them seemed to be off the charts high, so I started reading and watching videos on how the test needs to be performed.
Either way, I feel like I have completely performed the tests incorrectly!
Now this is my question. when the directions state to add "1ml of titration" they say the bottom of the plunger needs to be at 1ml So, I started watching videos on YouTube, and between 3 people, the test was done 2 different ways!
I have added a picture of the screenshot that I took off a video on YouTube, as you can see very clearly the plunger is at the 1ml position, but the liquid is only at the 0.8 mark.
When I do my test I draw back very slowly, when my plunger is at the 1ml mark my titration liquid is at the 0.9 mark. This is a big difference!
At the end of the directions it states to not use the ending position of the liquid but the position of the plunger, so this has left me very confused!
On the directions card that came included with the test also has pictures, and looks to be as if the liquid is at the 1ml mark!
I have added my picture and the Red Sea directions video picture. (I have added the liquid from the KH test instead of the calcium for this picture due to the liquid being darker and easier to see) can anyone please give me some insight on this!? Thank you

Let's start with this isint quite qn emergency. You have the correct dose in your picture do not worry about the fluid level focus on the plunger position. When you pull back on the plunger you create a vacuum and the syringe will fill with as much fluid as it has marked out next to the plunger. The air is what has been pulled from the tip and thats now been replaced by fluid so you should have exactly 1 ml.
