Also, I would join the facebook group for Red Sea Max nano owners. Great group for questions. Also, there are 3d printed additions to the tank, for example, a filter cup instead of the sock, and a weir baffle.

My red sea max nano is like 5 weeks old lol, have a pair of clowns and cuc. For stocking, maybe a six-line or pink streaked wrasse? As for inverts, maybe a pistol shrimp/goby pair?

Attach some pictures of your tank please would love to see them!!!

im stayimg away from the six line wrasse as ive heard a lot of people say they are very aggressive any thoughts? And yeah a goby/pistol shrimp pair would be cool!!!

Have you had problems with the overflow bypassing the skimmer section?

That is going to look amazing once your corals grow out!!!!!
These are such cool little tanks!

Does my 3D Printed weir baffle look similar to yours? How did you install yours? I’m hoping my will just slide into place? (Hopefully)

cute clowns too!!

Only difference I think is the adjustable gate. I know lots of people who use the ecotech mq10 as their wave maker

Well millymylilly.... The only downside to the nano is the stocking Level

I’m thinking a pair of clowns for sure
Then maybe a bleny/gobie of some sort
And maybe one more small? (Royal grammar etc)
As I'm new to reefing, it destroyed all my dreams when I realised I couldn't get half of the species I wanted coz they grew too big for a nano

Do you find the adjustable gate useful? Have you ever used it?

i was thinking of the Mp10 but i hate how it sits on the tank a big bulge coming out i hate how it looks

The nero 5 is basically invisible!!! Ill get one to start and see if i need another but ive heard they are super powerful for their size!

I HAVE A EXITING/IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR EVERYONE FOLLOWING THIS BUILD !! :)

Originally i was waiting for my local fish store to get a new max nano in stock....... BUT BUT BUT

i have found a used max nano on eBay thats in good condition needs a little work but no scratches or chips which is the main thing right!

i have made them what i feel is a reasonable offer so fingers crossed they accept and i could have a tank by the end of the week!!

its the version one model so will have ai prime light but I’m a big fan of aqua allumination!!

ill keep you all updated!!!!
