Hey thanks! Appreciate it. To start, I gutted the hood by taking out the t5 fixture and replaced it with two separate orbit current marine LED panels each with their own ramp modules. I drilled out hood to allow mounting of the modules on the side of the tank with velcro. I replaced stock pump #2 with eheim 3000 compact pump which runs through a JBJ chiller and then through a aqua uv 15w sterilizer. Added an MP40qd pump. Thought about replacing skimmer but replaced the pump with a new stock one and added an acrylic media rack which seems to be working fine. Here are some more pics....

Good call on replacing the Red Sea Max T5 light fixture. I have found that they increase the temperature of the tank by a few degrees and it is a nuisance to have to replace them, unlike LEDs.

Beautiful tank. How do you like your c-skim 1800 protein skimmer?

Thank you. Not a big fan of the skimmer. I was looking at other options like the tunze but too many people say they have problems with the seal and micro bubbles so I didn't do it. I purchased a new OEM pump and it works ok...

My first reef tank was this one. I tried the Tunze skimmer and had the probl3ms you mentioned. I still have the skimmer, if you want it. I will ship it to you for free if you want it. I have no use for it. The stock skimmer will work ok but you have to get it dialed it correctly. The Tunze stuck out the top and would constantly overflow.

Thanks Viperdoug! I really appreciate it. That's very nice of you. I would try it if I had it....
