@samnaz yes guest posts on a build thread can really spice it up and bring lifeblood into a tank’s thread. Without guest posts a build’s storyline can dwindle.Indeed it’s always nice to have an audience sorta egging you on and what not ;-)

@powers2001 build is really coming along! I like your equipment section! That panduit wire way is gonna be nice to hide all of the wiringIn the picture above in the corner the board with 5 grommets in a vertical line has paint that is chipping a little. So does the IKEA cabinet frame. They’re both painted with the same grey spray primer. I’m going to Ace today to see if they have some kind of clear enamel paint to cover and protect the grey.
Wow those are really bad news, so no more inter brand integration? No way to control vortech from Neptune... that means that all the big boys will make controllers and we will have to marry one brand forever...Watched Neptune's YouTube channel periodical talkshows "Let's Talk Reef". They're discontinuing the WXM module. They stopped producing them and once they're gone, they're gone. They also said if you plan to continue using them you might want to buy a backup module in case yours goes bad. That's what I did today. Bought a backup WXM for my Radions.
@Difrano actually it’s Ecotech that’s closing down inter brand integration with Neptune and not the other way around. Ecotech has supplied WXM chips to Neptune all along. The original Wi-Fi chip doesn’t work with the Mobius ready products and that’s all Neptune is getting from Ecotech, the original chip. Neptune has now decided to put its inter brand integration efforts behind its IOTa integration package with all interested 3rd party partners.Wow those are really bad news, so no more inter brand integration? @RL6723 thanks! I see it no other way but to cram the equipment in there. The wire track is mostly for the DIY T5s with DIY T5 dimming ballasts wiring for harness and all.@powers2001 build is really coming along! I like your equipment section! Lets see a close up of that sump!! That thing looks massiveHere’s IKEA with door goes bolted on end of stand.
If IKEA doesn’t have hinges for the door you might take it to a glass shop.Whatever happened to the nice smoked glass door? That’s what I’m using for my besta cabinet but I just realized they don’t come with hinges... what the heck, why would you ever need a door without hinges... gotta head back to ikea.
@RL6723 Actually it’s not that big. 15” x 15” x 24”. Camera trick.Lets see a close up of that sump!! That thing looks massive
I think I found something to prevent the paint from chipping. Clear enamel. In the picture above in the corner the board with 5 grommets in a vertical line has paint that is chipping a little. That was one of my fears when I was drilling my cabinet and of course I couldnt find my smaller drill stop. I ended up wrapping a piece of tape around my bit at the right depth and going real slow. Equipment cabinet looks great!! A lot of work your putting into this build its going to be awesomeUsed sandpaper with block to sand down burrs where drill went through cabinet. Placed stickers on holes. Now to paint.
@RL6723 drill stop? Do you know if those only come stock on certain drills or are there some you can add to any old drill? That was one of my fears when I was drilling my cabinet and of course I couldnt find my smaller drill stop.
