@Skibi thanks! I just couldn’t stand the stock sump for the reefer 250. In some ways I wish I had the Octo Reef 15 sump to give me more room in the cabinet. If I had the space I would totally go for something like a 6 footer. If you could do it I say go for it.Nice thank you! This is really a bummer - do you have a nearby place to go already? At least it's a 90 day warning but that's still a royal pain.My landlord just gave the current tenants of my house a ninety day notice to vacate. I’ll be moving in during the middle of winter so the logistics of handling the tank and furniture could be tricky with ice and/or sloppy weather.
@The JLP Experience oh I guess my writing is confusing. I’m moving back into my house not out. This is really a bummer - do you have a nearby place to go already? At least it's a 90 day warning but that's still a royal pain.
Oh now I understand. I was wondering why you were waiting so long to fill that tank.@The JLP Experience oh I guess my writing is confusing. I’m moving back into my house not out.
@Perfectly_Imperfekt1 Thanks for the subscription! Is that a skunk in your avatar? I hope the scent glands were removed! I've heard they make great pets. I remember as a little kid at an antique gas engine show a guy there had one.Started to follow, and now need to catch up!
Yep that’s a skunk. The picture was taken at my friends farm. The scent gland was removed. Skunks are like a cat with their fur being very thick and course like a goat but a lot longer. Very friendly skunk.@Perfectly_Imperfekt1 Thanks for the subscription! Is that a skunk in your avatar? I hope the scent glands were removed! I've heard they make great pets. I had a pet skunk as a child. Caught him when he was a few days old. His mom was hit on the highway and we took the 2 baby's. Had the glands removed but 1 didn't make it. His name was Poo. He stayed inside and used a cat box. In hindsight he probably wouldn't of made it in the wild with out the glands so we took care of him until he passed. He still was a little musky but was a good pet.Yep that’s a skunk. The picture was taken at my friends farm. The scent gland was removed. My move in date to my house is February 15. WOOTMy landlord just gave the current tenants of my house a ninety day notice to vacate. I’ll be moving in during the middle of winter so the logistics of handling the tank and furniture could be tricky with ice and/or sloppy weather.
With the tasks I need to accomplish before the move, all the setting up I have to do to get the tank going, and the fact that I’m sick of setting things up, I’m going to cut some projects short. Such as this cheap Bluetooth strip light and Red Sea screen top instead of the Radion/T5 hybrid and custom Safe Top Lid I’ll do eventually.
@Jeffcb yes it’s been a long time. I got the system in October of 2016 then had it running for 5 months in 2017 before the crash. I’ve been fixing it up since waiting to fill in with water.I bet you are looking forward to the move. I will be a lot of work but worth it when your done.
I can wait to see water in your tank! Happy Thanksgiving!
