hi guys, doing a water change atm and decided to move my reefmatt, but i wondered what should be the water level for this sump, like what is the best for it/ with the reef matt. sorry to put it down as emergency but i need to quickly know as reefmatt ís out

as long as the water level is higher than the output of the reef mat to avoid the waterfall sound, you are good. If you have a protein skimmer, the water level recommended for that unit is your guide. no need to overthink it.

I have the exact same Aquarium. The sump has been slightly modified to accommodate a Reef Matt 1200. The front compartment currently is at 9 inches which is normal. The Protien skimmer and return pump compartments are a little higher than normal because the Reef Matt recently activated. I use a RS ReefRun 7000 return pump at 60% so it levels out quickly.
