Hello all!

Finally after a month of sitting on the 350 because of having little time...I am trying to set it up. I am starting this thread to document my own progress.

equipment:
Red Sea 350
Aquaticlife hybrid
Kessil A160
Octo varios 8 return
Octo 150 essence skimmer
Aquamaxx gfo and biopellet reactor
Also, putting in a vecton uv I have had prior to this build.

I am at a stand still on this manifold until I can get another fitting tomorrow. However, outside of having to flop the union around with the valve this is the dry fit so far. I was hoping to use 3/4 for my return but being the outlet to the Varios is 1-1/4” I didn’t want to drop it half an inch.

I know many use the verion sump prior to this however, I do like the functionality of the V3 sump. I will utilize the fuge section as a refugium instead of having to use the ATO tank.

Here is the progress thus far.

Alright, been a minute but I finally had some movement on the progress. After going back and forth with myself I decided to return the Varios 8 and use a Varios 4. I wanted to use 3/4 return line and the 1” was just too bulky. I would of preferred an all in one but in hein site using two separate pumps isn’t the worst thing in the world. Plus it makes the manifold much easier to deal with. Which I am running on a sicce pump. Also, I had to change the location of the tank.

Well, it has been a minute since I have done anything or posted anything. I recently moved my tank to a different wall (wifes request) and tonight redid my sump.

I have one more thing to add then I will be satisfied.

Next I will change out the overflow piping and change out the garbage diaphragm valve for a gate.

I will start to start posting pictures of added corals soon.
