Red stuff on candy cane coral

Hi guys, never seen this before and unsure whether I need to do something about it. My candy cane coral appears to have red stuff on it that looks almost feathery. Attached picture for review. I want to make sure whether I need to remove this (luckily the rock is able to be Moved). Thanks for your help.

I have a really tiny piece on one of my coral frags. Hasnt done anything any harm
