Hey all, this is my clown that’s been in the tank for over a year.

The pair are currently living in a purple hairy mushroom, but recently the mushroom has been shriveled up and the clowns have just been sleeping on the bed. This clown has been reaching out to different corals like my hammers and these spots have showed up

That spot looks pretty rough, could it be a coral sting? I see no differences in how it acts, it eats and swims normally. No hard breathing either. Also I apologize for the blue lighting.

I should also mention there’s a hump where the dot is. Maybe it was bitten?

Let's see if on of the R2R #fishmedic team can take a look. Could you get some clearer pictures for them? Turn your white lights all the way up, and your blues down for clarity.

Good luck!

That looks like a puncture injury. Most stings from LPS on clownfish just leave a flat brown discolored area.

Makes sense… the purple hairy it resides in is usually shut 90% of the time, especially at night causing them to just squirm around on the sand bed with jagged rocks…
