I didn't like my old set up. While it was completely functional, it was a little complicated as I added a couple extra valves for future use that were not needed. I also had to blow up my RODI and I added a slop sink.
I upgraded from a 4S 75G to a 7S 200G RODI unit. I had low pressure as well and was fighting silicates after my 3rd water change. I also realized that my 30 year old waterheater was going to go now that I boxed it in! lol
I keep the lower Brute full with salt all the time and the two above are always ready to go. I also have a 4th Brute that I use for flexibility and I have it on wheels for an emergency. So Each 55G Brute holds about 47Gs, so in less than 12 hours I can replace all the salt water in my house. If it comes to that, I have bigger issues. So for capacity I am in a good spot. I had to add a chiller to the system. While have this system is great, being able to use it on demand is crucial, the water was sitting at 90 degrees, I can cool it from 90 to 78 in about 15-20 minutes. I have 200G's of displays, so this is fine.
My wife will not let me do automatic water changes. That's my fault, I may have left the RODI on a couple times and flooded the garage before I built this room out, now at least this room is automated.
I can take two lines with me to any tank from my water room, one will remove water/clean and the other will replenish saltwater and with the toss of a couple valves and a 2 minute purge the same line can then fill my RO water. Lot's of stress lifted from me now. I repurposed my old plumbing, so I am sure something could have been better, but it all works. I didn't need the pump for the RO as it will feed everything via gravity. So I was able to simplify it further.
