My roller reached the end, and im not home to change it till tomorrow morning. Would it overflow or anything?

Actually watched a complete BRS video to get an idea of water flow in these things. Didn't succeed. Let this act as a Bump.....
 
You are fine. The water simply flows through the bypass at the top of the filter basket into your sump, albeit unfiltered at that point. What size roller filter are you using?
 
You will be fine. Before my new tank where I have a diverted before my reefmats, I used to shut my 1200 of 12 hours a day..
On my next system, I am going to have a bypass to do this. On a more mature system I do not run the roller, but once in a while, I want to do some scrubbing and it would be nice to run the roller for the day. Hindsight is always 20/20
