I owned ( because I’m about to smash it to bits ! ) a Redsea XL300
Only released in late 2019 so less than 3 year old !!
Today In the middle of the night a sound of water downstairs woke me up and guess what ! This tank starting leaking water ! Not dripping but gushing out !
after sorting all the mess I’ve located leaking point and it’s a silicone bead ( seems like a starting or ending point )

to Think that I wanted a bigger redsea ( 625 g2 ) ..

Am I that one unlucky guy ? Or is redsea rather consistent in such poor manufacture !!! 4D869A36-CC5E-42E3-B01F-3F8E3C52146F.png 178F704E-C4B6-4EB7-A822-D8F6ACDB68E4.png

Ouch. Sorry for your headache.
Fwiw this is the reason I went acrylic.
I recommend acrylic tanks for anything over say 100gals.
Bonded seams. No beads of silicon to leak.

Red sea makes amazing aquarium kits, but it might be an issue in manufacturingt, Haven't heard much about malfunctioning

bummer, you are not alone, try a search on here, have seen many over last couple of years.
reach out to Red sea ,not going to fix the mess you have, but may still replace /help upgrade with new tank.
think they are paying a little more attention to workmanship after tons of seam failures.

Yeah, I hope they get their stuff together. My dad wants to start a red sea max mixed reef setup as a father son thing, even though I'M the big reefer XD . I'm really happy he's getting into the hobby though.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
