Even if I keep that overflow box off?
It's in the left overflow so I can just seal off the gate and use just the other filter.
You've had multiple leaks at this point, why even chance it. I would have ditched the tank the first time it leaked. The cost of the tank itself pales in comparison to the damage a bunch of saltwater on your floor can do. If you're upgrading in 6 months I would grab something cheap on Craigslist and sell it when you're done or pick up a Rubbermaid stock tank to get you by.

I thought I wasn't going to be getting a new tank and just wait another year for when u move but after 7 leaks. 3 being in the last week and my mom trying her best to patch it while I wasn't home. She also cut her self on the inside of my tank.
I'm finally getting a new tank this Friday.
I've had my eye on a 90gal with a sump at my lfs for a long time now and we finally decided to pull the trigger. We're going to get it Friday.

I currently have a bucket next to the tank incase the pump stops but I have a waterchange pump keeping the water below where the holes are.

In overflow? Or elsewhere. Can you lower the water level for 24 hours below the leak? Razor blade out the silicone, a bit above and below the leak. Clean with 91% alcohol. Put in a nice fillet of pure, food grade silicone. It will cure sufficiently in less than 24 hours.

Livestock lives in bags for 24 hours all the time. Aerate the water with an air stone or powerhead rippling the surface. Should be fine.
