Hello everyone,

Even though my nitrates and phosphates seem normal I have GHA problems and my corals are really suffering because of it. I assume the nutrients are bound up in the algae? I just added some more CUC members into the tank to hopefully chow down on the algae and ordered a hob protein skimmer for the tank to cut down on any nutrients I can. Does this sound like a good plan of attack?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a good plan. Also you can try shortening your photoperiod, and if you have LEDs cutting back on the whites, increasing water changes, and decreasing the amount you feed can all help too. It’s not fun, but we’ve all dealt with algae at some point. Hang in there!
