I don't recall saying it was a slaughter at all. I do recall saying that I think Detroit will win the series in 6 games. I expect the Pens to play well. It is the Stanley Cup Final afterall. The biggest difference in the game was that the Wings found a way to win and the Pens didn't. There is still alot of hockey to be played and I expect the Pens to be quite competitive. I just don't expect them to win the series and they went a long way towards proving that by letting game 1 slip away. If they blow it tonight they will be in real trouble.

Hey buddy I didn't hear anyone crying about the boards. Hockey like football & baseball sometimes has luck for one team. I mean sometimes the football, puck or baseball goes a certain way. In the case of game 1 the puck bounces in favor of the Wings. Let me get the straight if you are a hockey fan & watched the game, it wasnt a slaughter like u said it was. The Pens out shot the Wings and played with them majority of the game with the exception of firsst half of the 1st period. I want the Pens to win for sure, but if they lose I want it to be a good series. It isn't going to be an easy series for either team.

Well Zetterberg neutralized Crosby and still had time to get an assist. Fleury played poorly while Osgood played awsome and you would like to think that the champions got lucky. Whatever. Oh and it was Mario who said Crosby was better than him. LOL!!!!!!! I guess Jordan Staal getting burned by a rookie was luck as well. The kid had the poise to catch the puck out of the air, place it on the ice, and make a perfect shot right up top on the far side. Meanwhile Staal, Pittsburgh's great defensive force who is a minus 6 for the playoffs was still looking for the puck. Good news though....Based on history the Pens now have a 22% chance of going on to win.

Of course Mario is going to say that. I thought you were referring to one of us saying that. My bad. Although I'm sure Mario could maybe see a thing or two in a player that neither I nor you could, but like I said before he he has his entire career in front of him. loosing the puck while it pops up in the air is far from someone being burned. That was a very nice play by Abdelkader. What I would call burned is fedoteko taking the puck off of Osgood and putting it in the net.

I would agree, of course Mario would say that and of course he can see things that we do not. I think Crosby is obviously a good player as I have said before. I don't like that he yaps all the time but whatever. I do like that the Wing's best players play in all situations. Malkin and Crosby don't kill penalties. Zetterberg and Datsyuk do. I guess Crosby is notorious for skipping optional practices as well. Datsyuk and Zetterberg as well as Lidstrom routinely show up.

Osgood had the puck hit him and he couldn't feel it roll off of him. You could tell he had no idea where it was. It looked pretty funny watching him searching for it. Fedotenko made a nice play to bury it. Staal looked lost the whole shift before the goal. He should have cleared his man especially if he didn't know where the puck was. He has been pretty poor defensively throughout the playoffs. On a team with alot of minus players Stall is a team worst minus 6 rating. Maltby (a 4th liner) dropped to minus 2 and got benched. He is minus 1 now and the only player on the roster who is.
