We are going to continue discussing the reef aquarium facts submitted by our members. Do you agree or disagree? What are your thoughts?

Fact #57

You never want to make a sump or tank from extruded acrylic.... It's weak and will bow more than a good quality cast material such as "polycast", " plexiglass g", or " acrylite gp."

Truth or False? What else might we need to learn on this subject? Please also share any pictures that may pertain to the subject. ;)

I wouldn't rule out extruded acryllic completely for smaller tanks, but it's definitely more prone to bowing than cast acrylic. Even on a small tank, I'd recommend using a relatively thick extruded acrylic along with eurobracing, but cast would certainly be preferred.
