That's what I meant but I think didn't come out that way. Real easy to test it now where the tank would sit, whether from an app or from someone’s real PAR meter. Easy way to let you know if you need more along the edges. Way easier to do it now!

Ah, makes sense. I do have a par meter so I’ll try it out to see if I can get an idea on readings. Thanks again!

Hi guys, I’ve pretty much settled on the meridian 63 for my 70” tank.

My question is can I edit the intensity of different sections of the light, so the left side can be more lps focused and the right more sps with higher par?

Nope, need smaller length lights to do that or add more light to one side with another fixture.

I don't think there's any light that does that from any company.

Oh, i did not see that.
They say "bar", meaning light bar? The meridians have pucks or Clusters unless it's the light bar can be controlled independently.
Maybe Logan can clear this up.

You're going to have to call and see if it went out. It was in the works but never saw it announced. I went with 2 - 24's and an 11" so I have individual control and some versatility for a different size tank in the future. The cost is not much more and really like how they're performing.

Yes, that feature is coming in the next few months. Individual panel control on meridian 24 and higher

hi! I have the shallow reef version. On the app, the "colors" show:

-Indigo
-Near UV
-Royal Blue
-White
-Cool Blue
-Violet & Indigo

The first color (Indigo) is clearly a yellow whiteish color and not indigo. Is this how it displays for other people too? Maybe on the original fixture it is indigo and it wasn't updated for the shallow reef version?

I think @VintageReefer can answer this. I believe he renamed one of the channels.

If you have shallow reef you need to edit the channel name in the app. You can also edit the color used in the spectrum graph
Just click the edit button and change the name and color

Ch 4 is 3500k warm white.

To REALLY split hairs...5550k is daylight or more neutral white.
Does it matter.. NO...

And in new shallow reef layout they have 5.5k labelled warm white

The names are mixed up on the website diagrams. My app customization is correct

I am researching lighting for the tank below. I have had this tank since 1993 with many variations mostly as a FOWLR. Just recently resealed and am currently cycling and planning on a mixed reef this go around. Looking at Meridians, could you give me advice on lighting. Thank you in advance!

Glass center brace: 16" ish wide

I’d get two 24” Meridian shallow reef version. I think it would be perfect on that tank.

Just bought the Meridian 45, had a Orphek Atlantik Icon before ( smaller tank before ).

Lack of acclimation mode is not great, on the Orphek it was something like the light was on a 30 day schedule and would drop to say 30% and increase by 3% each day until full percentage achieved again ( across all channels).

Moonlight mode is way too bright, my fish thought it was day time again and freaked out so that is off which is not great. Even giving us the ability to change the LEDs that are used would be helpful to try.

Cycle through the day mode - allowing you to see what the full day light cycle would look like accelerated in a couple of mins. Ideal to not wait and be able to tell if the lighting schedule works for you.

It's a pricey light which I can see the quality in it's physical manufacture and light output no doubt there.

It's just a shame with what options it doesn't have in the app.

Appreciate it's expensive for app support. I wonder if Orphek have a in house way and Reef Breeders outsource hence the cost.

With that in mind, we would look to add the Orphek bars to the side of the 45 mostly for the moonlight and acclimation mode benefit. Until such a time that Reef Breeders can offer those features. Downsides of this would be two outlet plugs used, but cost saving and the advantages just mentioned.

Won't be for a while, so here is hoping that maybe these appear.
