My torch coral has been perfectly fine for months and I just wanted to Reef Dip hip to make sure he’s alright and doesn’t have any flatworms, pests etc. So like always I took 1 gallon of tank water and two capfuls of reef dip and dipped my torch and it melted?

I dipped him the same way the first time I got ‘em and now he just leaked off a ton of jelly and is like melting away? what the heck happened?

i added a photo I took a week ago of him fat and healthy.

I had the same thing happen to me. I dipped a 2 headed torch that had been in my tank for several months- but it had lost a little color (was purple and yellow, and the yellow just disappeared one day and never came back). So I thought maybe a dip would help whatever ticked it off- and one head died pretty quickly, and the other side slowly shrunk and died after a couple weeks.
