Reef Keeper Lite-MLC Mod!

Hey any electical gurus out there! I need to lengthen the wires for my LED pods for my RKL-MLC. I asked Digital Aquatics and they will not do it but, did say that people do it all the time. Although it does void warranty.
What kind of wire should I get from Radio Shack?

as long as the gauge it not smaller than it should be fine. I would also use a braided wire, I highly doubt they are solid core. Other than that I am worthless

I might have to do the same thing. I would just take the wire up to radio shack and they should be able to tell you which wire to use.
I have to go up there to buy a longer cable and adapter for the head unit so I'll ask them if I get there before you.

As it turns out I went to Lowes and figured out that it is a 24 gauge 2 conductor 24-2 if that helps anyone else. Of course they didn't have it.
But after coming home and trying to fit the wire, I find out that I didn't need to extend them at all!!!

Speaker wire should be fine

Tried it. Too big. This stuff is tiny. i tore it in half at Lowes. Theres like three copper cables in each conductor, and the insulation it super small too.
