I posted about my mutt Bailey the other day. Wonderful dog and all but my girlfriend decided to pick up another one because he was free. So we are now a 2 dog family.

This is moose. A Jack Russel Shih Tzu mix or as some folks like to call them... a Jack Shiht.

I wanted to share a picture of my dog Fred and me. Unfortunately i had to put him down yesterday. He had a stroke caused by a brain tumor. We had a wonderful 14 years together with lots of stories. I have decided to start a reef tank to help get passed the loss of my friend. I have been reading everything i can on r2r so i can try to avoid any major mistakes that i could run in to. Thanks for reading my post, and am glad to be a part of this amazing group of people.

14 years is a heck of a run for a bigger dog. No thoughts of another dog?!? I don’t want to think about what losing one of our dogs would do to the kids, but at the same time, I don’t think I can ever “not” have a dog again

Yea, he was 85 pounds in his prime. We have a 13 year old chaweinie still. But its way to early to think about getting another dog for me. Just taking my time doing research on reef tanks to hopfully avoid some of the mistakes. I don't want to be 2 years and done.

This is Max. The best buddy, sidekick and co-pilot any guy could have.

Wow, that's tough - been there. We're glad that you're here and will certainly do what we can to help you be successful with your reef tank.
