I can not seem to figure out why I constantly get microbubbles with this skimmer. I have it between 8-9" of water consistently, and it is controllable with the DC pump. If I turn the air down, the microbubbles go away, but then the water level in the skimmer is wrong and it doesn't skim into the cup. So then I have to adjust the outlet and the water level rises, but the micro bubbles come back. It seems if the water height is right in the skimmer neck, it will produce microbubbles, if it is too low and makes the skimmer dirty but not the cup, the micro bubbles go away. SO does anyone else have this skimmer and has these issues? Or is there something I am missing here?

The thing skims amazing, pulls out nasty gunk and keeps my tank clean, just cant stand the microbubbles.

EDIT: It has been in my tank for 7 months, so its not a break in thing, and the tank is 1.5 years old.

My Nyos can be the same way. Once I have it dialed in I have to keep an eye on the air adjustment screw (this sometimes builds up sediments over time, and when that happens I start getting microbubbles).
