I can only speak about mine which is a Reef Octopus 2000 classic HOB, and man!! is is the best skimmer ever!! You will NOT go wrong with Reef Octopus for sure! Size should be based on gallons, as well as expected bio load.

In general, can’t really go wrong with reef octo skimmers, just make sure to size it properly. You mentioned 100-400 gallons in the OP, that’s a large variation.
Make sure to decide on what your plans are long term and size accordingly.
Buy once, cry once, lol!
Personally, I like external skimmers. Much easier to dial in, aren't really affected by sump levels, etc. I have an sro5000 ext skimmer and love it, easy to work on and just performs well. I have a large system so needed a larger skimmer.

Ok, got it. lol!
Personally, I would go external recirculating.
Either of these should work well for you.
I would purchase something that’s recommended for a 100 gallon heavy bioload, eventually you’ll likely get there.
Let’s face it, this hobby is addictive, lol!

Classic 150EXT 6” Recirculating Protein Skimmer

Or

Classic 150INT 6” Internal Protein Skimmer

The Manufacturer rates that skimmer for tanks up to 250 gallons.
BRS rates it for up to a 160 gallon.

You’d probably be fine with either but if you think you may eventually upgrade to something a little larger or expand the system with a frag tank down the road, I would get the 200. The 200 would give you some room to grow.

Offhand , not sure.
I live in the US and most of my experience has been with reef octo.
Reef octo has always worked well for me and have just stuck with it.
Ever since I got my sro5000 ext. I like them so much, I don’t think, I would ever go back to an internal skimmer. IMO… External is just way easier to work on and adjust.
I have also heard bubble kings are supposed to be good.

what about pump aquatrance?

I saw that one model has the aquatrance pump and another model has the bubble master pump..

the bubble master costs much more than aquatrance

So I've to buy reef octopus with bubble blaster pump..?
Most of the octo skimmers now come with the varios pumps.
I would recommend doing some research on this before purchasing a skimmer.
Plenty of YouTube review videos and threads on r2r.
No one is going to know your intended bioload, size tank, etc.
Bioload will matter.
