Did you update the software? the build is different for pi 3 and pi 0. One will not work for the other

Pretty sure I loaded the p 0 build.. I'm about to delete the DB and start over just to see if it fixes the issue. I just re touched the solder points for the connector just in case, I'll make sure I pull the p0 build this time just in case.

Update: one of those things fixed the issue. I do actually suspect a bad solder joint on one of the pins.. Thanks as always for the quick reply.. getting SO close to having a complete system for the new tank! Yay!

Can I use Apex ph probe? Or there is a better option?
You should be able to. Most probes work in same fashion. Brs, atlas , milawukee all pretty pretty good. I used pin point as well, without any issue.

Build pics will be awesome :)

Just need to get the lighting working with the Kessils. and add the dosers - dosers are all wired with the ATO on the Cat5e .. So that will be a simple addition.

Has anyone controlled one of the Phlizon black box lights with reef pi? And if so is it 0-10v, or pwm?
I may be looking to upgrade to these from my beamswork lights. The white channel has mostly 2700 and 6500k so perfect for a planted tank.

Thanks for information.
I hooked up orignal 7'' rpi touchscreen but still having issues with it.

When I enable screen in reef-pi settings nothing happens. When I try moving the brightness slider the screen itself reacts just fine but the slider is not moving. Should the reef-pi display any UI on the screen with touchscreen connected or I have to use web browser anyway?
Futhermore when I reload reef-pi and when I hit Settings tab I get
"{"error":"strconv.Atoi: parsing \"169\\n\": invalid syntax"} | HTTP 404 "

I have also problem with this screen when I attach PCa9685 board. Touch function stops working. Might be any i2c address related issue? i2cdetect -y 1 shows PCA9685 correctly. It might be also problem with power supply as I have both screen and servo board powered via RPI not a separate 5V rail.
Confirmed and solved - power supply issue.

Touchscreen itself is working just fine - showing desktop, web browser.

I can't find any specific informations about touchscreen setup anywhere in this topic.

Thank You!

Am what I reading here is that you're making hardware (?) and a driver for flow meter? :O That would be a very cool number to have on the web view for reefpi

I wish, I'm assuming this is a little more involved and needs interrupts. The driver I'm going to start with is EC, that one should be easy as the pH just needs to be duplicated and tweaked. If I can get the hang of it I will definitely try other things, the ADS1115 mentioned earlier is something I want to attempt as well.

I was just thinking of covering my temperature probes a moment ago.
I was wondering if using the 2 part epoxy for frags would conduct heat properly.
Or maybe a thin coat of silicone over the prob up the cable 6-7” would show fluctuations faster?

It's probably not needed, if you clean the probe once and a while that goes a long way. There's definitely different batches out there, some do last long, I use the metal one as well and it must be getting close to 2 years old as well and still shiny. Plus for $3-$4 it's not a big deal to change, probably cheaper than the epoxy. :)

I've had mixed experience with the temp probes, having bought some really cheap ones off eBay mixed with some from a local supplier. I have used "plain" and got some rust after a while. I have covered one in silicone and heatshrink. The shrinking squeezes the excess silicone and seals quite well. I think. Can't actually see what's going on inside. Another one I coated in 3 coats of the "slurry" mix some people use for ABS 3D printing (ABS offcuts and acetone). This rusted through in about a year - I suspect cracks and not properly coated.

I definitely want to give those plastic ones a try next.

I'm currently experiencing some issues getting my dashboard to work properly. It seems like the only graphs that will populate on the dashboard are the dosing plots. If I try to create a graph for lighting it automatically switches to health, it just won't let me click on the option. Also, when I create a graph to display health no graph populates the field. It just leaves an empty space.

I'm not getting any errors.

What version are you running? Sounds like a dashboard bug that was in 3.1(I think maybe, it was 3.0) and has been fixed in subsequent releases.
