ReefPro bio X I have been using this product for the last four weeks in my redsea X Max 650, no other products will be able to lower the nitrates and phosphate in this tank, I test today and nitrate went down considerably from 23.2 to 6.5. Phosphate went down too but at a lower rate from 0.58 to 0.52 this never happened before. As we all know they both cannot go down at the same rate and speed but as you can see here is going down. Lets clear something here , I am not getting paid to advertise this product I saw it before I try it and it works.

I was battling some dino and algae issues and was recommended to try this product. Not only has it helped me get those issues in check but I now have it on a doser and is maintaining my nitrate and phosphates at desired levels. All of this without any harmful side effects to me reef! Would recommend without hesitation.

I've used a number of products that claim to control or reduce Nitrates and Po4 over the years. Some work, some don't, and some do with consequences. BioEx is one of those gem products that does what it says and doesn't harm your tank. It won't strip Alk and gradually removes Nitrates and Phosphates. I've seen an incredible turn around in my reef tank as well as the tanks that I recommend this product to. Two tanks that I recommended this product to had bad bad cases of Dino. Within a short span of time, the Dinoflagellates gradually faded away and the natural balance of bacteria was restored. I cannot recommend this product enough if you are battling algae, dino, or high nitrates and phosphates! Chris Rabkin

@Reef Pro I have seen multiple posts and Cuban_reefer claim this helped him with Dinos in the video from TSA. Do you know why your product works with Dinos and what will be the dosage? Trying to decide what size to purchase.

I agree with the statement above. I'm a first hand user and found that bio-ex helps with lowering nitrate and phosphate. It is a form of carbon dosing. As we all know carbon dosing can be good and bad for your aquarium. It can strip you no3 and po4 and can also promote unwanted bacteria growth ( dinos and Cyano).
This product seem to target a food Bacteria in the aquarium. Not sure what's in it but it definitely works with no harm to the microbiom.

So this is what I think happens:

Dose bio-ex ( balanced carbon dosing)-----> promote good bacteria growth and multiplication-----> bacteria consume nitrates and phosphates-----> lower nitrate and phosphate and outcompete bad bacteria and algae for resources----> coral consume some bacteria and some gets skimmed out ----> great results in color and growth.

Make sure to start slow and test your no3 and po4. When you start seing a decline just stop where you think it's low enough for your liking them maintain a dosage from then on.

Battling dinos, and battling a ridiculous high level of phosphates at over 2.5ppm at one point.
Tank is 3 months old.

Phosphate-e is not giving me any results and I was in danger of overdosing without results so i stopped using it.

I've seen a video on youtube and someone mentioned this alone stopped their dinos and corrected other issues.

Will report back.

As mentioned above the dosing isnt really specified.

Can you chime in, on what it reads:
"We recommend you begin your dose at about 1 ml per 50 gallons of aquarium water. You will need to test nitrates once a week. If your nitrates read above 5 ppm you will need to double your daily dose."

If I'm reading this correctly, the dosage is 1ml per 50gallons of water volume daily until you achieve desired Nitrate PPM, and when desired PPM is obtain you cut dose down to .5ml to maintain and if your testing over 5PPM of Nitrate you can if you choose so to double the daily dosage of 1ml to 2ml per 50 gallons of aquarium water?

My main objective to purchasing this is phosphates but nothing is mentioned about dosing for that specifically.

I will be dosing Nitrates ofcourse since I want to keep that around 10-15PPM.

Where is it recommend to dose into? Sump, overflow, skimmer body, filter sock?

What is the estimated drop in phosphate/nitrates per 1ml dose in it's specified 50 gallons?

Yes , its 1ml per 50 g per day.
I'm at 400% dosage now as my nitrates were at 30 and phosphates at .4.

Now I can maintain a nitrate of 20 and phosphate of .1 with 4x dosage.
