What kinds or brands of caulking are reef safe? I have a small quarantine tank that sprung a leak from the seals going bad and was looking to redo it sometime. Is there a certain brand I can get at Walmart or Ace that are reef safe? What ingredients make it non-reef safe?

100% silicone, no additives like anti-mold and such. For that type of job, usually RTV silicone is recommended. If tank is small enough, GE1 could be used as well, but RTV 103 or 108 would be better.

Whichever one you use, make sure you give it enough time to fully cure (usually 7 days) before leak testing.
