Reef tank going downhill, could use some help

My salinity is 1.026. I quit using zeovit mainly because I was having trouble keeping alk low enough for the system, and just all the associated costs of expensive salt mixes and additives. Figured could be spending all that extra money on more corals.

To be safe, I would do (6) 30 percent water changes spaced 3 days apart. It is what I always do on systems with strange problems. The rapid 30 percent water changes usually help save corals that look bleak. If the GFO dropped your PO4 level too low after being on a low nutrient system like Zeo then I would feed flake foods to the fish for the next week. The flake will bring up the PO4 level a tad and help if that is the problem.

The really unfortunate thing is that your symptoms are similar to Alk issues, PO4 issues, low Mg issues, and even AEFW infestations. If these noted issues can be ruled out, then the water changes may be refreshing. Wish i could help you more.

Do you have any way to check your potassium levels? Zeo can deplete K and you may have some carry over from that. It tends to wash out the colors and, in combination with something else, could be causing your RTN issues.
