Normally I sketch or give an idea of what I want then dad does the carving and I mean I come up with it I don’t look online

Same. All of my stencils/designs are hand drawn (transferring a hand drawn stencil onto a pumpkin without a projector is kind of difficult!). I’m debating if I want to carve one more pumpkin today, I’ve got a grey/black one but it’s not the best shape for carving, and then I’ve got a couple cantelope size regular pumpkins (also have a few squash). I’ll probably come up with something using one them.

Okay, one last entry (#3). I only had two little cantelope sized pumpkins left, and I didn’t realize until I started carving them that they were ‘pumpkin pie’ pumpkins, so they were really soft, but also really fibrous, which made getting a smooth line next to impossible. Anyway, this is what I came up with:

Nowhere near the nicest pumpkin I've done before, but working with just a kitchen knife and a limited supply (i.e. only 1) pumpkin. It was extremely difficult to find a pumpkin in St Kitts. Had to have it special ordered from the US.

Here is our entry for 1 ocean, my wife designed it and carved it.(she is a professional graphic artist for over 24 years) and was excited to do this.
