Disclaimer : I did not purchase these lights- they were supplied by the manufacturer for an honest review with par readings to back it up.

Now that is out of the way here it goes- going to be long.

Couple weeks back ReefB made a post looking for hobbyists to test out their lights- I threw my name in the hat and after a couple messages back and forth here we are.
These lights are $119 on Amazon
Link will be at the bottom of this post

If you look at my previous posts I am an advocate for Noopsyche lights and halides- both my personal tanks runs a mix.

My Par meter is an Apogee 420x- it is a USB unit that goes into my laptop and runs apogee connect.

Getting started

Unboxing- I was pleasantly surprised when these lights showed up. Box is nice and tidy, shrink wrapped and labeled well.
Upon opening I was impressed by the layout and how secure everything was. Die cut foam to fit everything snuggly- actual light was additionally cover with a separate sleeve.

Comes with both mounting arm a hanging kit which surprised me, also Allen wrenches to fit the hardware.

70w and 8 channels. 1 being a dedicated moon light

Connecting - this was easy- blue tooth linked instantly. No WiFi. I really like this because if you are familiar with the Noopsyche lights you know how frustrating their app is.

Took a minute to get accustomed to the app but was fairly straight forward. There are no real preset schedules. Just a single generic to get you started. No problem here.

Light schedule- For these tests I opted to run the 3 blue channels @ 100% white and UV @ 20%, green and red @ 5%

Figuring this is going to be similar to most people running heavy blues and gives kind of a real world baseline.

Assembly- light is easy and self explanatory to assembly. Lots of adjustability

1st tank is a friends IM 25g lagoon- The light was temporarily installed for testing. Light was adjusted to the highest position, approximately 1 ft above water. The lagoon is a wide tank and was worried about cover.

Reading are in the picture.

I am surprised. This is a shallow tank but numbers looked good. Definitely enough light for any Lps dominant tank and some sps sprinkled in.

The second tank is one of my personal tanks.
It is a 54g mixed reef with quite a bit of SPS.

Currently it is set up with 2 noopsyche k7 IV pros along with a MH that runs for 4hrs daily peak.

If these new lights work well I will transfer the Noops to my big tank and keep the KoralLed lights on the 54g permanently and will report back with colors and growth.

By the time I got the lights installed on my 54g it was already getting late, snapped a few photos and will run the par meter tomorrow.

My first gripe is the mount- worked great on a rimless tank. But as a budget light it does not work well on what I would consider a budget rimmed tank. If these new lights tension screw was moved down an 1/8 inch (3mm) it would work fine in my opinion.

The final photo is the moon lights running at 5%. Photo makes the picture much brighter then in personal.

So far I am liking these lights.

Will continue the post / review tomorrow

Just finished mapping my tank. Corner tanks can be a problem and I don’t have as many reference positions as a rectangular tank but the numbers will tell a story for sure.

Running the same setting as I did mapping the IM25

Sand bed to water level is 20”
Lights are 6” above water level

Check out the photo
Light green at the bottom is along the front edge
Yellow is approx mid tank- front to back and left to right
Orange is 3/4 the way up along the back wall
Pink is on a shelf rock approx 5” below water line.

The photo with the wand is measuring approximately little higher then mid tank, I was curious what the big stylo was seeing for par and was plenty surprised.

I wanted to make an unboxing video and I did record one but I am not much of a personality on the camera and it turn out pretty embarrassing. Props to the people that do them often.

I am really liking these lights. The tank looks great and corals are popping.

The only questionable thing with the app is I have not figured out how to add the second light to the same schedule as the first, Or how to pair them as master/slave

But I did find how to copy and schedule and paste it to the second light. I am personally okay with this because I have had times where I would have liked one light set slightly differently on larger tanks with multiple lights.

My final opinion on these lights is they are a hell off a deal, packaged well, colors are very nice, moonlight is cool, app is easy to figure out. From plug in to lights set took approx 25 minutes.

I think I spent longer just trying to get my Noopsyche app to work in general.

I did realize that if you want to ad 1 or two light bars to the mix you can mount them on the brackets easily. You can push the top adjustable bracket so it hangs over the front of the light and use it to mount a bar. Kind of a nice probably not intentional feature.

I feel these would work well as a single on a small cube or frag tank similar to the IM25 I tested. Anything longer than 20” I would suggest 2.

If you want to run these on a 75g 48x18x20 mixed reef you could get away with 2 and a 48” light bar to help them spread. 3 would be ideal.

On a 90g 48x18x24 I would definitely suggest 3.

Remember they are set to 100% on 3 channels. I am unsure how that will effect the life of the LED if at all.

I have a 7” 210g and really curious how 6 of them would do.

I am going to pull the noops off this tank and possibly even the halide and see how things do for a couple weeks. Will continue to check back in as I tweak setting and work with these more. If you have any questions or want me to test with different setting please post up.

It would be nice to show the statistics on the power supply and the plug ends.
With many inexpensive lights the power supplies are probably the weakest link. It would be nice to see what the orig. is rated at and any certifications.

Besides it is funny that even "big names" have a tendency to obfuscate their power supplies. It isn't effective, just annoying.

27v is weird.

I will grab picture of the label and post it for future reference to anyone looking
Just for the curious.. oddly 27v ps are out there.
This ones big ..321.3 Watts..

Seems to be not as odd as I thought.
cordless stick vacuums, mobility scooters, and industrial battery chargers now use 27V nominal systems.

Why 27V Adapters Are Gaining Popularity

Lately, two converging trends have elevated 27V adapters from niche replacements to high-frequency search targets:

  1. Market consolidation around mid-voltage battery platforms: Manufacturers moved away from proprietary 18V or 36V systems toward standardized 22.2V/25.2V/26.5V Li-ion packs—requiring compatible 27V charging profiles.
  2. Rise of direct-to-consumer appliance brands (e.g., Ganiza, NEQUARE, Ecovacs spin-offs): These brands ship with low-cost adapters prone to early failure, driving replacement demand—and increasing buyer scrutiny.
