Thanks! SPS sure took advantage of the low nutrients of third re-scape.

Reef Mat was not put online for this round/scape because it wasn't needed initially as for UV and Skimmer. The SPS flourished during this period with just old Bio Media and bacteria. From that point onwards, I ditched Reef Mat and the UV remained off.

I do feed heavy, for now my nutrient export is primary dry skimming and supercharging Chaetomorpha with BW ChaetoGRO.

Alternate dosing of heterotroph bacteria (MB7 and MBC) along with a consistent low dose of DIY NOPOX kept my water crystal clear and sand white. It would be counter productive to run Reefmat or sock for such bacteria implementation.

In fact, my Chaeto and ATS managed to retain a lot of the suspended particles.

Awesome, I’m glad it’s working out for you!

Do you see much aggression between the two zebrasoma? I imagine there’s a pretty well defined pecking order there!

In fact, the once dominating Purple Tang gets harnessed by the Powder Blue Tang instead. The remaining Gem, Yellow and White Tail Bristletooth are pretty much left alone.

And my CopperBand Butterfly gets it from my Mcculloch Clown pair.

Ah, there are three! I saw what I thought was a gem, then the purple and assumed it was the same fish. Does the powder blue bother any non-food competitors?

The PBT only goes after the purple, while the purple bickers with the gem once in a while.

A closure to this tank build, all the fishes didn't make it in the temporary holding tank. I believe the system was overwhelmed with organics/media transferred from the burst tank, all of them died the morning after.

I wouldn’t touch them with a long pole. If ever there’s a class suite against them, I’ll be glad to be a part of.
