Oh no that sucks! There are 2 different kind of caps maybe try the other kind. (One is smoother than the other) hopefully you will have some succes
I'm jealous. My green and red monti go to war with each other. Green will kill my red cap :(

That’s what makes it a enjoyable hobby . but enjoy what progress you have along the way . there will always be things we think we can do better or things we want or can do better , just try not to second guess yourself . If your having success and your tank looks this good take a step back and smell the ...er... um... well fishes ( not flowers ) as so to speak . Patience, steady parameters , and consistency is the key . Kudos !!! :cool:
