Many of you met my husband Tyler earlier this week! I’m his wife, Amber joining to be able to have fun on here too!

What started as “let’s get a small saltwater tank for our toddler to watch fish” has officially turned into “we now have two tanks and a wishlist longer than our grocery list.”

My husband and I dove into reefing as a fun family hobby, and it has quickly turned into something we both love and obsess over together. Our son still loves watching the fish, but let’s be real, we are the ones sitting in front of the tanks every night, tweaking flow, checking corals, and whispering “just one more coral” to each other.

We currently have:

Tideline 47 gallon AIO

Fish: clownfish pair, flame angel, citron clown goby, azure damsel, splendid dottyback

Cleanup crew: tiger conch, emerald crabs, nassarius snails, blue leg hermits

Corals: GSP, duncan, flower anemone, pulsing xenia, mushroom coral

And

Innovative Marine Nuvo 14 Peninsula

Fish: orchid dottyback, mocha clownfish, clownfish, filefish, peppermint shrimp

Corals: green star polyp, kenya tree, torch coral, mushroom coral

We are still learning and growing, but it has been the best rabbit hole to fall into.

Would love to hear your “we only meant to get one tank” stories too!

Hi Amber. Welcome to Reef 2 Reef . We started an IM 75EXT and put two firefish in it . One got bigger than the other and started picking on the smaller one . We started a Fluval Flex 32.5 for the smaller firefish
