This light been getting lots of awesome review. Im looking at purchasing a new g5 xr30 but after all the feedback, this would trump the g5, however would you post over to Melbourne,Australia?

@danlu_gt I have question. I read that you said to Ron Reefman that one of these fixtures would take care of a 36" x 30" foot print.
Would 2 handle a 72" x 30 " foot print with all softies?

Several of my SPS colonies at the top of my rock work have been growing quite large, and they're starting to cast shadows on some of the corals lower in the tank. I don't really want to cut them back very much, so I decided to rotate my ReeFi LED lights 90 degrees and add a 3rd light in the middle to provide more coverage, in particular in the front and back of the tank.

Since I originally mounted my ReeFi's on the Ecotech RMS arms from my old Radions using custom adapters Daniel from ReeFi provided, I contacted him to see if he could design a new adapter for the rotated orientation. Here's what he came up with, and it works perfectly! The adapter slides right into the aluminum channel from the RMS, and is angled by 3.6 degrees to account for the sagging slope RMS mounts are notorious for.

After test fitting this prototype, now I'm just waiting on Daniel to print the additional adapters and for my 3rd RMS mount kit to arrive so I can rearrange my lights. For now, I have one rotated 90 degrees. Here are some before and after photos:

I'll post an update once I have the new RMS arm and adapters for all 3 lights.

I want to give a big Thank You to Daniel @danlu_gt. Such awesome customer service!

A fellow reefer on my local club forum just asked me what the PAR readings are for ReeFi's on full power, so I pulled out my PAR meter and took these measurements just now. My ReeFi's are 8" above the water surface.

All channels at 100%
1/4" below water surface: 902
Top of rocks, 6" below surface: 604
Sand bottom, 18" below surface: 273

Normal daytime peak lighting:
1/4" below water surface: 632
Top of rocks, 6" below surface: 404
Sand bottom, 18" below surface: 165

Here's my normal ReeFi lighting schedule where those last numbers were measured:

Thank you for this info! My 3 are supposed to arrive Thursday, I have to figure out how to mount mine in the canopy unfortunately, for now I’m just going to try and match my existing par and see how it goes. Changing lights always seems to suck for the coral upgrade or not

I'm about to order one for my reef tank but no Par measurement around for me to borrow or even reference to.My tank is a 50g cube - 27W x 20D x 27H. Any tips to acclimate the corals (which is properly used to the 100$ cheap eBay led lights)?

he been pretty helpful, gave me a quote for the Reefi. Just waiting for AUD to come up a bit before clicking the button.
I don't think he can help with PAR measurement can he?

I thought he had the PAR mapping on the website

I think the problem is that @babycover doesn't know the PAR for the old lights, so Daniel's PAR readings for the new ReeFi's won't really help with what settings to use to match the old lights.

yes that correct. My old light is the Blackbox china, so wifi even. My LFS doesn't carry any Par meter reading or anything like that (wonder how they do it in their display tank). So not sure how can I do it with the new reefi

A Seneye is a good investment just for the par meter I think.

Are you using the angled 3.6 or standard RMS arm adapters?
