All,

Has anyone bought/used these magnetic frag racks on sale from the company Reefing Art? They are in sale on Amazon and look pretty well built at a decent price?

Plus, the magnet is strong enough for 3/4 inch glass tanks.

It just has limited reviews online, so was hoping someone could vouch for the quality .

What ever you buy make sure the magnets are completely encapsulated to prevent any possible contact with water.

I have a few of them. They work great on 1/2" and thinner glass. I have 2 on 5/8" and they are good but i dont know that they would hold well on anything thicker. Yes the magnets seem to sealed up well

Thanks York. How long have you had them in the saltwater?

My main concern is the magnets eventually rusting and leaching into the system before I have a chance to stop it.

Right now mine is in the tank and able to work through 3/4 inch glass. But I guess I won't know its capacity until I fill up the racks and test with weight on it.

But they look well made and sealed. Just scary buying something that could be from China with unwanted chemicals. Maybe because its less than half the prices as others on BRS which scares me.

Considering adding some smaller fish to my established reef. These boxes came up in my search. Any recent users have updated reviews before I pull the trigger.

I have two of the smaller size that i use as mushroom boxes. They are just as good as the racks. No problem with them in 2 years. All of frag racks are still in use and no sings of rust etc..

I have two of the reefing art frag racks in my tank and they both been in there for over a year as you can see by the Coraline algae just totally covering them. They have never leaked anything they show no signs of rust and I believe that they are a fantastic product but that is just my opinion.

I use them too. They work perfectly. I bought the racks directly from their website (reefingart.com) and they arrive rather quickly.

Bought mine a few months ago. Love it and for a fraction the price BRS sells them.

I remember the days when BRS had quality stuff at a fraction the price. They've grown from a company to help make reefing affordable to people and providing valuable knowledge to a business buying conglomerate like a Walmart

They are pretty good. I have one with strong magnets and it can hold through 3/4 inch acrylic without any issue. Using it for about 2 years.

I have 2 of the large racks. They hold great on 3/4” glass. Easy to clean too.
