It's bad when you're not married (me), and you tell them if this works out theirs big plans .... for a fish tank in our future. :)

Both have been fairly easy, I would say reefing takes more time and attention, but its a family activity so my wife gets involved often.

You know, my gut liked the comment, but then as I thought about it I realized I wouldn't lie...I would just ease it it into the conversation at the perfect time...like right after some nice quality time...or in the morning before coffee so she remembers I told her something about a buy but doesn't fight back and this gives you the out later when she see's the bill...you can say, "honey, we talked about this...remember when...", she does the same to me so...;)

My wife enjoys my tank, so keeping a reef and a happy marriage isn't to difficult for me. She just won't do anything to my tank for me. I have to do everything :p

The reef tank is in my wife's living room. I spend a lot of time just making things look nice. I like when it was in our basement and I didn't have to worry if the rocks where positioned properly or not.

Same here - live together for 46 year - married for 40 (Sweds love to have a test period before wedding :)) And soon I tell here that that glassbox she saw in 1973 is a fish tank :)

This is me and my marriage also! Although, once in awhile my wife will feed the fish for me. She does get jealous at times though. Says if I'd give her half the attention I give my reef she'd be good to go.

My marriage is based on me pretending i dont want something and that its a bad idea!... which then becomes the wifes idea thanks to google images spurring her on.. which leads to me finally giving in then taking full control of it but reminding her that it wasnt my idea if it all goes titsup. : ) this is the only wisdom i will pass onto my son
