While making some RODI water I spilled a bit on the carpet and my 3 year old got her janitor kit out and placed a wet floor sign on the carpet next to it. Reefing is much more difficult and also much more rewarding with crazy toddlers to enjoy and work around constantly. I don’t know how many toys and plastic balls I’ve found in my stand through the last year.

anyone else with any good stories? This is classic 609D0CCC-EFDD-44D2-A117-8D0B10ED37BC.jpeg

I just posted this in another thread but here it is.

So I was cleaning the back glass, you know, to make the tank look nice before I get these new corals.

Magnet scrapper, stretching to reach the middle, I also had a siphon hose going to the filter sock in my sump sucking out anything I scraped away.

I heard a splash splash, giggle giggle, my two year old pulled the hose out, jumping in a puddle of water. I lost over 5 gallons before I knew what happened!

And that's why I always run carbon, and keep mixed saltwater and RODI water on hand. Backup equipment and battery powered shop vac. If you can think it, it could happen.

Gotta love em, I'll finish the tank after she goes to bed.:zany-face:

My 11 month old doesnt like to go to bed until she has said goodnight to the tank. Looking forward to the janitor stage!

I am in tears laughing at all these examples. I can rest easy tonight knowing that at the end of the day we’re all in this together and I am not the only one lolol

This was my toddler reviewing a hanna checker.
(60 seconds. Enjoy.)

Pros: "28!" (good number, apparently)

Cons: "Daddy, make more new numbers please"

That's awesome! My 2 year old likes to "help" with mine, but unfortunately that entails just trying to grab everything lol. He comes out to feed them everyday with me though and then watches them eat for a while
