Which unit would be best for moderate stocked 525 or 625 XL. I am going to upgrade current (425) tank soon and trying to get all my equipment ready. Recommendations in size for the 500 look like at 130 gallons is right on the edge for 525 and a little under for 625 but the 1200 Reefmat seems way too big? 8-10 moderate size fish (Mostly tangs). no fuge or scrubber as been dosing 5ml Nopox daily for months and all been good. Thought it might be slower using fleece and will have the room but dang that 1200 takes up a lot! Thoughts from the experts?

I have the 500 on my 150g and it uses about 3 ft per day and works well. The main difference is that you will change the roll for the 500 about twice as frequently as the 1200.

Thought about the whole using half as much fleece but of course the higher price of the 1200 and its refills helps kill some of that so think just gonna go with the 500,

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
