here is are some simple shots of my tank
the tank is a 50g breeder. for lighting it has 2 175w 14k evo's run on electric balast in homemade fixture. filtration is 20g long tank converted into a refugium. water from hob overflow enters into first chamber through 100micron filter sock and is skimmed with a aquac remora. then enters into second chamber that has 2in sand bed, some rock, and lots of algea. then enters third chamber where it meets carbon before being pumped back up through a rio pump. everything was diy and works excellent. no floods yet. knock on wood.
