Refug in with Filter Socks

Hello everyone!
I am looking to add a refug to my 180 DT that has a 30 Sump. My sump already has the baffles glued in and the skimmer is taking up the bulk of the middle. However, I have a lot of real estate in my first section with my filter socks. Would it be possible to add it there? It looks like it is pretty happy to grow anywhere. Let me know what you have done or if you have any tips or tricks.

depends what you mean by "add fuge" - you could just toss in some chaeto and add a light, but the light will spill into other chambers unless you use barn doors to focus the light, and even then since the chamber is clear it will go thru the bottom and cause microalgae growth elsewhere anyway. Perhaps an algae turf scrubber? if space is an issue, an up-flow unit mounted on the wall of the sump can be a great option.
