Hello, I have a redsea reefer with a v3 sump. For those unfamiliar, it’s got the small ATO reservoir that sits on top of the sump. I’ve made it into my refugium as others have, and it is growing Chaeto well. Question on the plumbing though- I’ve got the drain going through a 1” bulkhead with and elbow pointing down into the return chamber. Creates a lot of bubbles and gurgling. I’ve stuck a piece of foam for the time being to stop the return pump from pumping bubbles into the aquarium. I drilled a few small holes in the elbow, and that helped a little. Should I add some sort of piping inside the refugium? It’s just a flat strainer.
