I’m using a basket inside my sump area as a refugium, I had a nice size ball of chaeto that ended up breaking apart and a lot of it got out of the basket and was in my sump area and in the return area. I think I might have had too much flow that caused the problem but I’m wondering what I can do in the future to keep the chaeto from getting out of the basket? I thought about using a netting type of material so that it won’t flow through the basket openings
to line the inside of the basket ??
Any suggestions what type material to use or where to get the type netting Gish nets are made of ?
I see videos of others using a basket to keep their chaeto in and it doesn’t seem like they have the same issues.

You could line the basket with some window screen material. Just make sure you buy the plastic screening and not the metal kind.

Would fiberglass netting be safe to use in a sump
