Refugium or Skimmer section?

Just had a thought, it might be clearer to separate 'chambers' from 'level'. You will have 5 chambers according the pictures, but you'll only have three levels in the sump. The drain section will have one level that will overflow the sock holder baffle, then the sock, skimmer, fuge chambers will all be at same level before overflowing the adjustable return baffle. Then the return pump chamber will have it's own level (usually set by your ATO). .

I think I am starting to get it now! Now I understand the chambers, water levels, and how it will get all get affected by flow. It's like a little light bulb just went off :) Of course, I will see if I actually did get it when I do my test run :)

Thank you so much for your patience and being so thorough in helping me understand. It is so appreciated.

Happy to help. I remember when that light bulb clicked on for me with sumps. Felt like a just got a key piece of the reefing puzzle that day.
