Hi, new to the forum! So. I have a 70 gallon tank, mostly softies. Running 2 viparspectra 165s. 10 inches off the water. 23 inch tall tank. Off the topic i really wanna know the answer to but what should I run the intensities at? Should I alter the stock lights in any way etc etc.

The real question I wanna know the answer to is my refugium. My nitrates are running over 20. And my phosphates are at a 0.48. According to my Hannah test kit. I have a refugium but have never had much luck growing much. I’ve had semi somewhat decent results with a vine like micro algae with graphs like growths on the stem. Previously tried our chaeto with no luck. Thinking it could be my light? This is the currently light I have on it. Probably around 20 inches above my refugium section. ACKE LED Grow Lights Full Spectrum,Plant Lights,Growing Lamps 12W for Indoor Plants,Hydropoincs

will post some pics of my refugium if I can so everyone has a ball park of what I’m working with. Thanks everyone!

That light is pretty weak and also mounted pretty far from your algae. Fwiw I use this light and get great growth. And it's on sale!

I’ll have to find a way to mount it a bit closer. And thanks, I’ve been peeking on this forum for a long while just for advice. Then finally decided itd just make more sense to join and ask my own questions.
