Hello all!

Crazy idea, i know....

Is it possible to remove some leds from black box fixture?

Not replace them with another color chip, but remove them? How will it affect other chips on that channel, will it even work?

Or, maybe block them in some way, dunno, duct tape over lens.... ;)

Too much white, even on lowest settings, so, i wonder....

Or, simply replace 3 blue diodes from moonlight channel with 3 whites.....?

Thanks in advance!

Blue tape. I've blacked out some red with black duct tape.

No increased heating?

I mean, even with half blocked, it still runs on low %, but to be safe!

Did you put tape over lens or directly?

Thanx!

The lense is plastic. I put black tape on the lenses. One tank has been that way for years. Cheap fix. Also the lenses in my lights pop out easily. Try it for a while and see if heat builds up. Tape is removable. I don't think it will. Good luck!
