Hey everyone,

My question is how would you remove a large clam from its rock when its been there for over 3 years?

Hi there
You could try placing a small piece of ice at the foot and gradually levering the foot off this works for anemones so there's a good chance it may work good luck

Just gently rock it to one side and take a sharp knife and cut the byssal threads as close to the rock as possible. It should be fine and won't feel a thing.
